RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - One person was killed and three others were injured during a crash in Rankin County.

The crash occurred on U.S. 49 North near Star Road just before 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 16.

According to officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2000 Grand Pontiac collided with a 2024 Hyundai.

Troopers said the Hyundai's driver and passenger were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson with unknown injuries. The Pontiac's driver was also transported to UMMC with unknown injuries.

MHP officials said Ashley Holloman, the passenger of the Pontiac, received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
