Brian Stelter of CNN said Trump, as of his last presidency, owned what content policy Fox proposed, often adopting it as his own, and vice versa. This only increased when he was elected. His recent appointment of Fox News host Pete Hegseth, otherwise under-qualified but for being a fearmonger dangerous war hawk speaking-head, to secretary of defense only emphasizes this point.
