A&M Consolidated quarterback/wide receiver Will Hargett announced his verbal commitment to Texas A&M Friday on social media.
Hargett told The Eagle that he is committing as a preferred walk-on and will play wide receiver for the Aggies.
He spent his junior and first half of his senior year as the starting quarterback, but swapped to wide receiver near the back half of 2024.
He threw for 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns this past season. He also rushed for 251 yards and a touchdown, while hauling in 16 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
The two-sport athlete also plays for the Consol baseball team. Last season, the Tigers won the District 17-5A title and reached the regional quarterfinals.
