Manchester United took the lead when Melvine Malard put pressure on the ball from a corner and Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan fumbled the effort into the back of the net.

Into the second half, and the Reds effectively put the tie beyond doubt when Captain Maya Le Tissier struck from range.
