Next week's episode of WWE NXT (airing December 23, 2024) was taped in advance on December 17, 2024 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.
If you're curious what happens on this show before it even airs, we've got you covered here at The Ring Report with some SPOILERS of the tapings!
Based on reports from a few fans in attendance posting on X, the following transpires on this episode.
* Note: There will also be other segments that are peppered in throughout this episode that weren't taped in front of the audience. WWE will likely include some video packages, vignettes, promos, and backstage segments to further some storylines like the one with Karmen Petrovic and Ashante "Thee" Adonis, or some medical updates on Je'Von Evans after the attack last week from Ethan Page, etc. Those segments do not need crowd reactions, so WWE typically takes care of them beyond the tapings.
Stephanie Vaquer defeated Cora Jade by pinfall. Following the match, Cora Jade was attacked by Kelani Jordan, who went after her with a kendo stick. Vaquer supposedly got Jordan to settle down for am oment, but Jordan left angrily.
Lexis King (accompanied by William Regal) defeated Charlie Dempsey (accompanied by Wren Sinclair of the No Quarter Catch Crew) to win the NXT Heritage Cup! Regal tries to convince King to use brass knuckles, and when King refuses to, Regal hits him, but the knuckles go flying and when Dempsey picks it up, the referee thinks he did something with them, disqualifies him, and that gives King the point necessary to win the championship.
The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) defeated Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx after a little help from Shotzi, Tatum Paxley, and Gigi Dolin. Apparently, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter show up in the crowd alongside Santa Claus (seemingly Andre Chase in the costume?)
In a backstage segment, Izzi Dame tells off Shawn Spears and also tries to convince ZARIA that she and Sol Ruca shouldn't be friends.
Ashante "Thee" Adonis defeated Dion Lennox after some help from Nikkita Lyons
There was an in-ring segment with Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and Eddy Thorpe, debating about the NXT Championship scene after the pinfall last week where Eddy Thorpe claims his leg was under the ropes and since he pinned Trick's shoulders at the same time, he should be granted either the title itself or a rematch. It seems we're getting a Triple Threat match at NXT New Year's Evil in Los Angeles, and my suspicion is that this is a means for Oba Femi to lose the match without getting pinned. Early prediction. Triple H and Shawn Michaels love booking people to win a title only after their second match. Just look at what happened above with King getting the Heritage Cup on his second try, and how often that's been happening in the past year.
