The last thing we all heard about Wendy Williams was that she was "cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and incapacitated" due to her dementia. But in new footage shared to social media, things may not be what they seem after all.
On Sunday, the former eponymous daytime talk show host was spotted out in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. grabbing some food to-go from a Black-owned seafood spot. In a video posted to Instagram, Williams can be seen and heard greeting the workers in the backseat of a black car as they repeat her famous quote "how you doing?" back to her.
As they made sure that her that her order is correct before she heads out, Williams can be seen smiling and laughing along with the workers before engaging in one last conversation and driving off.
In the caption in the post, one of the workers said that Williams looked good in spite of the negative reports about her health and mental wellbeing. This marks the first public sighting of Williams since her legal guardian Sabrina Morrissey alarmed everyone with the shocking update of Williams' health around Thanksgiving.
While we previously told you that Williams had been dealing with the struggles of her primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, Grave's Disease and Lyphedema diagnoses, learning that she'd been "permanently incapacitated" sent shockwaves all over the internet.
But now those allegations are looking funny in the light and people online are sounding off about it.
"I just saw Wendy Williams on video getting a seafood plate and talking. What exactly does incapacitated mean??????" wrote one user on X/Twitter.
"They are only say[in] that, So they can control her money," another user speculated.
"That conservator lady is trying to get that awful documentary removed from lifetime by any means necessary. As she should," said another.
Williams was also previously spotted at a holistic wellness center with her son Kevin Hunter Jr. back in August.
