The Hillsborough High School football team continued its late-season surge last weekend, posting its fifth straight victory, this one a 49-20 topping of Freehold Township in the first round of the South Group 5 playoffs, and star back Jackson Jankowicz might have outdone himself.
The senior three-year starter and Week 9 MyCentralJersey.com Football Player of the Week has had a phenomenal season, but he reached new heights last Friday night, making six visits to the end zone in the win. Jankowicz caried the ball 19 times for 237 yards and five touchdowns and added three catches for 60 yards and a score. He also picked off a pass on defense.

He's up to 1,161 rushing yards for the season with 20 touchdowns and has added 26 catches for 398 yards and four touchdowns, and added four interceptions on defense.
"Jackson has been our best offensive player for the last three years, so sometimes we can almost take his production for granted," Hillsborough coach Kevin Carty Jr. said. "But you can't miss the way he has elevated his game in the last few weeks. He has been completely dominant through this win streak. I haven't coached many players who love football as much as Jackson, and he is doing absolutely everything he can to keep us playing this season."
