A new two-hour documentary will explore the destiny of the United States and how it is forever entangled with the story of the American soldier. "The American Soldier" premieres Monday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on History Channel.

"The American Soldier" explores a history more than 250 years old and still in the making. From the early settlers and the Revolutionary War against Britain, soldiers have played a key role in the seminal events that have shaped America.
