"The American Soldier" explores a history more than 250 years old and still in the making. From the early settlers and the Revolutionary War against Britain, soldiers have played a key role in the seminal events that have shaped America. Expert interviews, high end dramatizations and high-impact archive tell the story of how a young independent nation plunged into the existential crisis of the Civil War in the 1860s, before coming of age in the World Wars of the 20th Century, and then finally emerged stronger from the complex conflicts of the Cold War and beyond.
Honor America's fighting men and women by tuning in to their story tonight, Nov. 11, at 8/7c on History Channel.
