Falcons vs Raiders Player Props - Best Prop Picks for Monday Night Football

Find two of my favorite Falcons vs Raiders player props to bet for this MNF matchup on Dec. 16

It's time people. We're starring down the barrel of a two-game Monday Night Football slate and I'm ready to get loose. The one that we're going to focus on in this article is the matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders. That's right, we're going to Vegas baby! Here's the thing though, this is a business trip. It's actually better like that since it's virtual. But while the trip is fake, the money we make is as real as can be. I went over this game in my sleep last night so I know how to attack it. If you're in an absolutely, positively must-win situation, keep reading. Even if you aren't, I'd keep reading. We all need winners. Even the people who don't need them.

Odds as of December 16 at FanDuel and BetMGM. Claim the BetMGM bonus code to bet on Monday Night Football in Week 15.

I remember when this kid came out of college. He was the tight end from Notre Dame that was a legit man amongst boys. The guy could catch everything and nobody could tackle him. We're talking can't miss type guy.

Ask any dynasty fantasy football player, they still remember this guy.

The reason people have to be reminded how good Mayer was is because the Raiders drafted Brock Bowers in the very next draft. Bowers plays the same position (tight end) and is basically a better version of Mayer. That has to suck for Mayer. Imagine having to go to work every day and seeing a better version of yourself there. Weird.

But here's the thing, everyone sort of wrote Mayer off earlier this season but he's back now. The Raiders appear to want to use more two tight end sets now because Mayer was on the field for 81% of the snaps last week. Instead of working against Bowers, he's working with him. This has a Disney movie sort of feel to it.

It gets better though. Mayer wasn't out there running cardio last week. He was being targeted like he actually played for the team. We're talking nine targets that he turned into a 7-68 line. I don't think he matches that production tonight, but I think he could easily go for 20+ receiving yards. Feels right.

Imagine your job recruiting you, telling you that you're "the guy", and then shortly thereafter saying, "You're not the guy, go find another job, bum." That's basically what happened to Desmond Ridder in Atlanta. I may have added the "bum" part, but I think it adds to the story a little.

No matter what I add, nothing adds more to the story than the fact that Ridder gets to face the people who called him a bum tonight.

This is a dream for anyone who has ever been told, "We don't want you anymore". It hurts. Even if it was definitely Ridder's fault the Falcons wanted to move on. The guy was bad. Like real bad.

But all that is behind Desmond now. When you think about it, he wasn't even ready to be a starting NFL quarterback yet. The Falcons basically made him do it knowing he wasn't ready and then blamed him for stinking. Not cool.

Desmond is going to get his chance at revenge tonight and I think he gets loose. We all saw him come in last week and kind of look good. He wasn't great but he wasn't "Atlanta Desmond bad" either. My guess is he has the game of his life tonight against a team that has given up the second-most touchdown passes this season. Feels right.
