Egg recall: Throw out these eggs sold at Costco in 5 states

If you bought eggs from Costco recently, you might want to check your refrigerator.

Costco is recalling 10,800 units of its Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture-Raised 24-Count Eggs due to potential Salmonella contamination, according to a recall notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The recalled eggs were distributed to 25 Costco locations in five states, including Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

"The recall only applies to units with the Julian code 327 and a Use By Date of Jan 5, 2025, which can be found printed on the side of the plastic egg carton," according to the FDA notice. "No other products are impacted by this recall."

The affected eggs also come with a UPC number of 9661910680.

The FDA is warning people who bought the eggs not to consume them and return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Anyone with questions about the recall can reach out to Handsome Brook Farms, the supplier of the eggs, by calling 646-733-4532 or emailing them at [email protected].
