NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - The Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots campaign is officially underway.
Several locations have been set up to accept unwrapped toys. The list can be found here.
Gifts are being collected for infants to boys and girls ages 12 to 14 years old.
A link was also set up so people could donate online. Check it out here.
Sgt. Anthony Liquori said it's a great feeling to distribute the toys to families during the holiday season.
"It's not so much about us giving the toys to the children. It's giving it to the parents and the parents saying, you know, it's from Santa," Liquori said. "We collect everything, every kind of toy, and especially monetary donations."
Toys for Tots has been a holiday mission for 77 years.
Organizers said the Toys for Tots that serves New Haven and Middlesex counties has a goal of reaching 10,000 children this season.
