Baton Rouge Councilman Cleve Dunn Jr. announced city and community leaders are welcoming the new store with a ribbon cutting.
According to the Baton Rouge mayor's office, this new ALDI location brings a modern, budget-friendly shopping experience to the Baton Rouge community.
This new store is the fourth ALDI location to open in the city. It is located at 9720 Cortana Place near Amazon's fulfillment center. The store is open daily from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Remember to bring your own shopping bags and a quarter.
According to ALDI, shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags and bag their own groceries to ensure an efficient checkout process and further their goal for a cleaner planet.
The store also encourages shoppers to return their carts to the corral by requiring a 25 cent deposit. To use a cart, insert the quarter into the cart to unlock it, and get the quarter back once the cart is returned to its corral.
