Beyoncé has had a big year. Not only did she release her first country studio album in March, but she also launched her own whiskey brand -- SirDavis American Whisky, inspired by her great-grandfather, who was a moonshiner in the South during Prohibition. SirDavis Whisky hosted its official invite-only local launch party for the spirit on Thursday, December 19, at the Warwick in Houston, where celebrities like rappers Travis Scott and Slim Thug, singer and Destiny Child's member Letoya Luckett, Bun B, Houston Rockets player Jaelen Green and partner Draya Michele, and NFL Hall-of-Famer and former Houston Texans player Andre Johnson attended.
And on Christmas Day, Houston's hometown hero will perform at the much-anticipated halftime show at the Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game at NRG Stadium, which will stream on Netflix. To no surprise, Houston is already preparing, with a handful of restaurants and bars that are open, serving special whiskey-based drinks and cocktails for the occasion. So, whether you're looking for a fun spot to watch the game or the perfect sip while at the stadium, here's how to drink like Beyoncé on Christmas:
Tipsy Lounge (4806 Almeda Road, Museum District, 77004), Urban Social (3917 Richmond Avenue, Upper Kirby, 77027) and Rockhouse (6025 Richmond Avenue, near Uptown, 77057) are gearing up for Beyoncé's halftime performance with a host of special drinks featuring SirDavis Whiskey, plus photo booths, and a special viewing of the halftime show. Tipsy Lounge and Urban Social will open at 3 p.m., and Rockhouse will open at 2 p.m.
Fans can continue the celebrations after the game at 5015 Bar (5015 Almeda Road, Museum Park, 77004) and the Address (3333 Raleigh Street, near Medical Center, 77021) starting at 6 p.m.
If you scored seats to the game at NRG, there will be plenty of opportunities to sip themed cocktails made specifically for the halftime show.
