Google Chat, the team-focused communication tool in the Google Workspace ecosystem, is also integrated into Gmail. And exactly in the latest Gmail v2024.11.24.702067492 update, a new feature in the works was found.

The update hints at a Board feature for Google Chat within the Gmail app, which might eventually make its way to the standalone Google Chat app, too. This Board would allow users to access pinned messages and other shared resources within any chat. The feature isn't live yet, but it's safe to assume Google will roll it out eventually.
