MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) -- Two-year team captain and four-time varsity letter winner Kylie Waldinger is leading the Bulldogs in their 5-3 start to the season.

Waldinger scored 26 points in the win over East Peoria and 27 against Metamora this season.

She's signed to play college hoops at Southeastern in Florida, but is excited for what the rest of her senior season holds.

"I feel like we have a really good team connection, that we all have the same goal and mine is to win. After last year, just coming in this year and showing and proving to everyone that we have that talent and we can get those good wins. It shows a lot and I think that we're going to keep getting those close wins."

"She has what every good player needs to have that she really wants to be good on, and that's really taken her a long way," head coach Dan Campion said.

Waldinger is now eligible for $1,000 scholarship we'll give away to one boy and one girl at the end of the school year.
