MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Two self-service driver kiosks in Shelby County, along with one in Lauderdale County and another in Crockett County, will be closing Monday for equipment upgrades.
According to a statement by the state Department of Safety and Homeland Security (DSHS), the kiosks at the county clerk's office at 1075 Mullins Station Road and the University of Memphis will close Monday. The closing kiosk in Crockett County will be at 1 South Bell Street in Alamo, and the one in Lauderdale County will be at 675 Highway 51 South, in Ripley.
DSHS said the new self-service kiosks can be used to complete many Driver Services transactions, including renewing or replacing a duplicate Driver License or ID Card, changing an address, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting a license reissue after reinstatement requirements are met. The new kiosks can take photos and process payments with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit or debit card.
When these new kiosks and upgrades will be finished is unknown, but DSHS said Tennesseans can see when these locations will reopen and all Driver Services closures on the DSHS website.
