Here's an early look at the Green Bay Packers-Seattle Seahawks game Sunday; Injury update, time, TV, odds

Easily in the toughest stretch of their schedule, the Green Bay Packers travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday night in the second of three consecutive road games in four weeks against teams currently in the NFC playoffs.

Besides playing the 8-5 Seahawks, the Packers lost to the 12-1 Detroit Lions last week and face the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 29.

The Seahawks stayed in the NFC West lead with a victory over the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. Running back Zach Charbonet rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while subbing for the injured Kenneth Walker. Charbonet may get the start again Sunday night.

It'll be the third of four straight night games for the Packers, but they have two days of extra rest after playing on consecutive Thursdays.

A victory could clinch a playoff spot for the Packers, who hold the sixth position in the NFC.

The Packers are 9-4. They've won seven of their last nine games. All four of their losses are to teams ahead of them in the NFC playoff picture (Detroit twice, Philadelphia and Minnesota). They're 3-0 against the NFC West.

Seattle is 8-5 and has a one-game lead over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West.

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur provided injury updates on the following players in his Monday news conference:

On safety Javon Bullard, who's dealing with a new ankle injury: "I would say it's more week-to-week." Bullard left Thursday night's loss to the Detroit Lions after sustaining the injury in coverage. He was spotted on crutches leaving the locker room, but it appears a significant, long-term injury is off the table.

On safety Evan Williams, who sustained a concussion in Detroit: "He is in the protocol right now." The rookie safety will need to pass through protocol this week to play Sunday night.

On if receiver Romeo Doubs has cleared concussion protocol: "He has not." Doubs sustained the concussion Nov. 24 against San Francisco. He practiced in a limited capacity three times last week but hasn't passed the final stages of the protocol.

LaFleur didn't have an update or wasn't asked about cornerback Jaire Alexander, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper or cornerback Corey Ballentine, who all missed last week's loss in Detroit.

Walker may miss his second straight game with a calf injury. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald told the Tacoma News Tribune he's been undergoing more tests on the injury.

"In terms of his status, right now, we're not sure," Macdonald said Monday. "There's some more tests that we're doing on it right now, as we speak. And so we'll hopefully know more over the next 24 to 48 hours."
